Player owned/controlled support vehicles such as ammo re-supply vehicles, repair vehicles, or even ambulances would also be pretty cool. Being able to purchase and recruit crew for the vehicles doesn't seem like a big stretch, but again I don't have a clue how difficult building a game like BATTLETECH really is. Bringing a wider variety of Player owned/controlled combat vehicles to the game would definitely flesh out the feel of running a complete Merc unit. I'm certainly not a game designer or programmer by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems like some of the game mechanics are already in place to implement vehicles as a few of the story line missions already have allied tanks and APCs working with you. Long Tom artillery, Land-Air Mechs, helicopters, aerospace fighter/bombers, tanks, APCs, ECM pods (please implement the Raven in a DLC or update!) etc were often used in conjunction with the best Inner Sphere mechs my brother and I could find in an all out effort to turn back the tide of the Clan invaders during our weekend long sessions. I think that is a great idea, but why stop there? For me the appeal and experience of the tabletop game (and the really good BATTLETECH novels) was always a combined arms three-dimensional affair. There are a few threads already discussing the possibility of adding vehicles and infantry into the game as assets for purchase or recruiting. I can only imagine what you have in store for us next, but I thought I'd make the following suggestion anyway. ![]() ![]() Please don't take offense at the suggestions below, I know brining a game like BATTLETECH to life is no easy task. The story was very memorable and emotional like any good BATTLETECH novel. First of all, thank you for making a fantastic game.
